Traditional Wooden Handles

At Noga Nagarut we create unique traditional window handles named ‘’Karmonim’’ in Hebrew, characteristic of the old buildings of Tel Aviv.
To open or close the window, one would use these handles to move the window across a metal track up or down from the middle of the window.
During our work on different restoration projects across the city, we’ve collected and researched many of these handles to authentically replicate them.

We’ve gotten to over ten different models, each with its own distinct features. Work on these handles proved challenging, as these handles used to be made in different sizes each time to ensure clients would always have to come back.
These days we can recreate these traditional handles according to our restoration files, with a modern manufacturing process that allows for a weather-resistant product for any of the countries we work with.
